salvaged doors in warehouse

Salvage

Are you looking for that perfect historic brass light fixture to add to your home or a historic door to use to make a one of a kind table? Come explore our architectural salvage collection!

The Providence Revolving Fund collects architectural salvage from buildings which will be demolished or from owners who wish to recycle historic materials. We offer these architectural treasures for sale to owners of historic properties for their personal renovation projects (not for resale). Due to COVID-19, our salvage store is currently open by appointment only.

Preserving Buildings Across RI

PRF actively preserves the architectural history of Rhode Island by reclaiming uniquely crafted pieces and offering them for resale. We stock historic items such as: brass light fixtures, glass globes, pews, cornices, mantles, portico brackets, exterior and interior doors, claw-foot tubs, chandeliers, door knobs, windows, wainscoting, porch columns, stair posts, marble panels, column caps, sconces, sinks, etc. and our inventory is always changing.

PRF’s in-house experts are here to help you to understand how to re-use our pieces.  The team can explain the origins of the items available, work with you to understand the condition of the item, and any share precautions needed in using the item.  If you are working on your own historic preservation project, we can work with you to integrate the pieces into your project.  Our team also offers instructions on more creative ways to utilize our reclaimed collection including how to repurpose doors and window frames into tables, mirrors, or picture frames.

PRF accepts cash, checks and credit cards for salvage items. All items are sold as is and buyers are responsible for pick-up and transport.  As part of the sales agreement, our architectural treasures cannot be resold.
